Pringle Welcomes News of Inch Park Working Group

5.30.14pm GMT Thu 28th Feb 2008

Mike Pringle MSP was today welcoming news that a working group has been set up by the City of Edinburgh Council to develop plans for a new multi-sport pavilion at Inch Park. Mike has been a long standing supporter of the plans and is running a petition to try and push them forward.

The working group will be based on the same model that has proved so successful in developing plans for the new Community Football Academy at Ainslie Park in conjunction with Edinburgh Spartans FC.

Mike Pringle MSP said

"The fact a working group has been set up represents an excellent decision by the City of Edinburgh Council. This facility has the potential to be a real asset to the local area, providing a home to five separate sport clubs and a community hub for everyone that enjoys sport.

"The project has suffered badly from several delays, primarily concerning land designation, I'm delighted that it seems the problems have been sorted out and we can start to move forward.

"All in all this is really good news."
